SNEHASPARSH - Snehasparsha is a Health Care Initiative of Health & Family Welfare Department Govt of Assam for Children below 14 years of age having serious ailments. Under the scheme financial assistance shall be provided for specialized treatment of children.
Eligibility under the scheme :-
All Children below 14 years of age with annual income less than Rs 5 (five) lakhs per annum.
Income limit is relaxable in exceptional cases.
Diseases covered under the scheme :-
Bone Marrow Transplant- maximum limit of Rs. 13.80 lakhs per case
Kidney Transplant- maximum limit up to 10.00 lakhs per case
Liver transplant- maximum limit of Rs. 16.00 Lakhs per case.
Blood Cancer- maximum limit up to maximum limit Rs. 5.00 Lakhs per case
Artificial Limbs - maximum limit of Rs.2.00 lakhs for Cosmetic Limbs and up to Rs. 5.00 Lakhs if Motorized Artificial Limbs.
Specialized Eye Surgery- maximum limit of Rs. Rs. 50,000/-
Tumors- maximum limit of Rs. 3.00 lakhs/- per case
Neurological Anomalies- maximum limit of Rs. 3.00 lakhs.
Thalassemia - maximum limit of of Rs. 3.00 Lakhs.
Under the Snehasparsha Plus one time financial assistance of Rs.50,000/- and 36 instalments of Rs.2500/- will be made to children with Cerebral Palsy and other neurological disorders, who are selected as beneficiaries, after a detailed screening by Expert Committee.
